Sole, Luna, e Talia

Ronnie told me to do illustrations for Sleeping Beauty, so I'm doing the 1643 original version and it's much darker than the Disney version. This is where the king calls together his astrologers and they prophesy that Talia, the "heroine's" name, will be endangered by flax seed.

I was told that with a little more definition in the hair, this is done. I don't think I agree, but what do you think?

The Snow Man

For Artist's Book had to find a book to "deconstruct" and put back together somehow with only text. I found this book of Wallace Stevens' poetry, which turned out instead to be essays about his poetry. Needless to say, I find the idea of writing about something creative instead of doing something creative foolish. So I ripped out all of the pages and glued words onto 15 sheets of acetate into Stevens' "The Snow Man".
